Chas the founder of the Village Glen, still offers the same vision, drive and creativity since its inception in 1980.

Chas is an integral part of the operations of this business and continues to ensure that the high standards which he has set throughout the journey are maintained to provide the best lifestyle and environment for our residents.

Marcus joined the Jacobsen business in 2014 and as a chartered accountant had overall responsibility for the fiscal management of reporting of the business financial affairs. In 2021, Marcus then became the Chief Executive Officer who now oversees Village Glen Retirement Living and Flexicare. He brings a wealth of experience in the retirement living industry to the Village Glen having worked for many years both nationally and internationally.

Jane joined the Village Glen family in 1999 and has spent 25 years at the Village, firstly as Assistant Manager and then Operations Manager from 2003. She has been responsible for the day-to-day management of the Village throughout that time and has shared the passion and commitment of her father Chas in contributing to the amazing community that is the Village Glen. She is now Operations Director for all Chas’ businesses and she and her brother Damien are also Deputy Chairs of the Chas J Board. Both are committed to ensuring that Chas’ passion, vision and ideals are continued into the future.

John joined the Village Glen family in 2018 and is responsible for the financial administration across Retirement Living and Flexicare Home Support. John is a Certified Practicing Accountant and brings almost two decades of Retirement Living and Aged Care industry experience, having held roles in both Australia and New Zealand.

Peter joined Chas and the Village in 1993, and was the Chief Operations Officer for Village Glen for 30 years. Peter is now the Director of Developments and Projects and remains an important member of the Chas J Board.

Katie heads up our Flexicare team as Operations Manager and has done since its inception. As a registered Occupational Therapist who has had a passion for community care for over 25 years, Katie is the perfect person to lead the team. Katie is very client focused and passionate about Flexicare and the difference it can make on the Mornington Peninsula.
