Our Team

  1. Chas Jacobsen
    Chas, the founder of The Village Glen, still offers the same vision, drive and creativity that he has provided since the inception of the Village in 1981. His love of the Mornington Peninsula, where he has resided for some 40 years, led to the commencement of the Village Glen and since then it strives to remain an industry leader and innovator. Chas continues to ensure that the high standards that he has set throughout his journey are maintained to provide a lifestyle and environment of which he is proud.

  2. Peter Nilsson
    Peter, a qualified Land Surveyor, was a consultant to Chas when The Village Glen commenced construction in 1979. Since that time Peter and his family have formed a long-term friendship with Chas and his family.
    Peter joined Chas and The Village Glen in April, 1993 as General Manager. He not only provides a wealth of experience in business management, but gives a compassionate understanding to the day-to-day and long term needs of the Village residents.

  3. Jane Luxford
    Jane commenced employment in April, 1999, having spent many years in the legal profession. As Chas’ daughter, Jane is an integral part of a succession plan instigated by Chas to ensure the continuation of his vision and ideals. Jane was appointed Village Manager in July, 2003 and as such has the responsibility for day to day management of the Village Glen where she endeavours to provide a considerate and caring support to the residents’ needs and expectations. She is also responsible for the management of any ongoing construction in the Village.

  4. Betty Milne
    Betty is the longest serving member having joined our management team in 1983. She has been involved in The Village Glen for almost all of its developmental years during which time she has gained a wealth of experience in Village affairs and management. As financial controller of Community Villages Australia, her time is absorbed between financial and contractual obligations as well as providing her wealth of experience in the day to day operation of the Village.

  5. Jenny Martin
    Jenny has been employed at the Village since 1994 and is an essential part of the management team. She utilises her wealth of experience in her liaison with the residents and in the management of the kitchen, nursing and gardening staff. She also assists the Social Committee to co-ordinate the varied and busy social calendar of the Village.

  6. Robyn Haynes
    Robyn was first employed at the Village Glen in 2000 as the Village receptionist. Since then she has had varying duties to perform and has now been elevated to the role of Financial Controller for the Village Glen and is responsible for the accounts, insurance and the preparation of the Village budget.

  7. Amanda Taylor
    Amanda first joined the Village Glen team in October, 2004 as Village receptionist and has now moved to the role of administration officer. She is responsible for a multitude of tasks such as Village maintenance, refurbishment of villas and apartments, Family Day and the emergency volunteers.

  8. Maree Anderson
    Maree has the demanding role of Village receptionist that not only includes the many and varied tasks generated by the residents, but also has the responsibility of the collection of service fees and electricity accounts.

  9. Cristy Jacobsen
    Cristy is Chas’ daughter-in-law and assists with sales and marketing and also with reception duties. Her bright and cheerful disposition is a welcome acquisition.

  10. Angela D’Elton
    Angela is a long time employee of the Village. Her former role was as part of our nursing team. In 2003 Angela had a change in her career path and is now an essential part of the sales and marketing team. Her vast range of experience in Village matters is greatly appreciated.

  11. Judy Beamish
    Judy assists at reception with resident and telephone enquiries.

  12. Nanette Haynes
    Nanette is a qualified registered nurse and is one of our community nurses. She is part of the quintette of registered nurses who provide such a professional and caring support of our Village residents.

  13. Megan Scott
    Megan Scott, our after hours registered nurse, resides in the Village grounds
    and her nursing expertise and positive nature are welcome attributes to the
    Village Glen.

  14. Rooney Fields
    Rooney is our weekend community nurse who also adds her vast range of nursing experience and compassionate nature to those of our other wonderful nursing staff.

  15. Stan Midew
    Stan has joined the Village Glen after hours nursing team and brings to his position his many years experience as a paramedic. Stan also resides in the Village grounds.

  16. Clive Arber
    Clive is the foreman for Programmed Maintenance Services which provides staff for the garden maintenance services to the Village.

  17. Earl Scott
    Earl is the longest serving and well respected employee of the Village Glen, having joined Chas’ building company in 1966 and the Village Glen team in its infancy in 1979. Earl is fondly known around the Village as “Mr. Fixit”.

  18. Jenny Dalzell
    Jenny operates the Village hairdressing salon and has some 24 years experience. She is more than happy to share her extensive experience and sunny disposition with our Village residents.
